ReDefined Physiotherapy

At ReDefined Physiotherapy we have over 10 years experience working with all types of injuries. We will always treat you as an individual, identify the triggers for your injury, and guide you to make healthier choices in the future. We use current evidence based practice with a holistic approach to treatment. From our experience, this is the most effective approach to recovery.

We use a collaborative approach with our ReDefined team and are able to assess and treat most injuries. If your injury requires an alternative intervention to physiotherapy, we will refer you to an appropriate health professional.

Our focus is our patient's, and their road to recovery.

What to expect from your physiotherapy session?

Your initial session will last for up to 45 minutes. During this session we put together all the pieces of the puzzle of your injury. This involves problem solving together with our patient's.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out our online consent form if you were unable to do so prior to the appointment, otherwise please arrive 5 minutes early.

The consent form can be filled out here:

https://www.redefined.nz/forms

Having a thorough understanding of our patient’s story ensures we can provide holistic treatment, and provide accurate diagnosis. We politely request all relevant doctors notes, imaging results, and previous physio programmes and ACC information are brought to the

initial session.

During the session you will be able to ask any questions you may have regarding your treatment and diagnosis. Our focus is to empower our patient's and ensure they are the experts in their condition and their rehab programme. We use the Physitrack programme to compile your online exercise programme and email this through to you.

We ensure our patients are progressing and have a thorough understanding of the rehabilitation programme. We do this by arranging follow up appointments. These are normally 30 minutes in length. However if you require a longer session, we will always accommodate for this. We find that reviewing our patients sooner rather than later provides a better outcome for our patients' recovery.

What to wear to your physiotherapy session?

Please wear something comfortable. We will need to look at the injured area, which may require you to undress. Please bring appropriate clothing for this. We may also need to look at your footwear if this is relevant to your injury.

What treatments do we provide?

Our Physiotherapist has post-grad training in exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy, Joint mobilisations, massage, dry needling, taping / strapping, clinical pilates, clinical yoga, hydrotherapy, pelvic health, and continence assessments. Gait analysis, strength, mobility, and balance are also important areas we assess. We ensure that all our patients receive individualised, holistic rehabilitation programmes. We

regularly review the programmes to ensure our patients are getting stronger, and improving

through their rehabilitation journey.

One of the key elements at ReDefined Physiotherapy is ensuring our patients develop a

'toolkit' of knowledge on their diagnosis, and management.

At ReDefined, our health practitioners and coaches collaborate, ensuring that all of our clients needs are met. Our team includes: Nutrition, Naturopathy, personal training coaching, strength + conditioning, yoga, pilates, therapeutic massage, myofascial release, life coaching, meditation and mindfulness coaching.
